Gov. Cuomo introduces website for NYers
News, People

As part of the campaign to build a new New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo has launched a new website.

According to a statement, www.NYGetInvolved.com is meant to bring New Yorkers together to learn about Cuomo’s agenda and to keep the public up-to-date on key initiatives.

"Last year we achieved historic success in our state by bringing the people back into government and working together to build a new New York," said Governor Cuomo. "Now, as we face the challenges of a new year, we must continue to ensure that New Yorkers are involved in their government. To engage New Yorkers, we are not only going on the road, but we are also going online to reach every community in the state."

The website features information on Cuomo’s 2012-2013 Executive Budget and Reform Plan as well as the pro-growth economic blueprint for New York. The website is a resource for New Yorkers to have easy access to information on their state.

A map detailing visits that the governor and his cabinet make throughout New York will be available on the website. It also includes a video presentation of the budget, copies of the 2012 budget and the 2012 State of the State address, the governor’s Twitter feed and a tool to help New Yorkers contact local legislators.
